East:
From Vienna, take the A 2 and S 6 to Leoben and St. Michael i. d. O., continue on the S 36 to Judenburg and on the B 96 to Murau. From Murau via Ranten to Krakau.
From Graz, take the A 9 to St. Michael i. d. O.. Continue as above.

West, north:
From Bregenz/Innsbruck via the A 12, A 93, and A 8 to Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A 10 to St. Michael im Lungau. From here on the B 96 to Tamsweg and continue toward Murau via Sauerfeld to Krakau.

South:
From Klagenfurt, take the B 83 to Scheifling. Then take the B 96 to Murau and continue on to Krakau.

From the municipal office, head east (towards the end of the village). At the fork in the road, keep right at the village museum. At the next fork, where there is a bench, keep right again and follow the gently sloping path, which mainly leads across meadows, towards Rantenbach. Keep right on the gravel road up the valley until you reach the Maut mill. From the mill, walk about 300 m into the valley and turn right over a bridge with a gate over the Rantenbach stream. Follow the slightly ascending road that leads out of the Rantengraben valley in several switchbacks. Head northeast across a meadow, past a hay barn, until you reach another road. Follow the gently ascending road to the southern edge of Krakaudorf and follow the NW markings back to the starting point.
