Children and young people can learn about the history of the city in an interactive, lively and age-appropriate way at the Graz Museum: What is and was the importance of the Schlossberg hill for the city? Where does the name Graz come from? And when was the first time women in Graz travelled by bicycle?
Graz city history for children and young people
Along historical exhibits, visitors will find all the answers to their questions about the city of Graz. Age-appropriate themed tours, such as the exhibition ‘360 Graz - A History of the City’, can be booked all year round. Another recommendation: the workshops in the Pharmacy Museum. Here you can experiment with old equipment in a historical setting.
The Graz Museum also offers a range of special features for children and young people in the temporary special exhibitions: e.g. dialogue and themed tours as well as art talks and project days. The museum organises individual guided tours and offers for groups - free entry up to the age of 19!
