Cuisine along the Sausal Wine Trail

The wine trails are known for their excellent and promising culinary offerings. The Sausal Wine Route also has a lot to offer. Rustic and modern wine taverns, traditional restaurants and one or two gourmet restaurants are just waiting to be discovered. Whether in Kitzeck, Austria's highest wine-growing community, or in the lively town of Leibnitz, the town and the countryside have a lot to offer in terms of cuisine.

In addition to the classic Buschenschankjause (cold plated snack of meats and cheese), our restaurants spoil you with tried and tested classics such as Styrian fried chicken (Backhendl), seasonal dishes and unusual creations. You can freely choose between urban flair or rural idyll; it all tastes delicious wherever you go.
