Krakauer circular trail trilogy part 2: Panoramic tour of the Kalvarienberg
The scenic exploration tour takes you up the Kalvarienberg and then back down to the picturesque village of Krakaudorf.
The Kalvarienberg rewards you with a sweeping panoramic view of the valley and invites you to pause and reflect at the chapel.
The route winds its way through the tranquil landscape. Along the way, there are four small wooden chapels serving as stations of the cross, each containing simple but distinctive carved groups. Once you arrive at the Kalvarienberg, you can enjoy the beautiful view over the valley and take a moment to reflect at the chapel, which was built around 1700. A visit to this place offers the opportunity to experience nature and spirituality in an intense way.
