The Seidenhofalm Tour is a varied mountain bike circuit in the Ausseerland region, which leads along natural paths to one of the many charming alpine pastures in the region. It offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountain panorama, steady but easily navigable climbs, and a scenic return trip along the Kainischtraun and Grundlseer Traun rivers.
The tour starts at the Fischersteg car park, near Grundlsee. First turn right and then immediately left at the first intersection towards Pichl-Kainisch. After the Radling Pass, the trail branches off to the left onto a gravel road. The steady climb leads past the Lenzbauernalm, the Berger-Halt and the Tal-Alm to the Seidenhofalm, which lies at the foot of the Kampl.
The descent initially follows the same route back to Radlingstraße. Turn left here and roll downhill on asphalt to Kainisch. After the railroad crossing, a bike path leads right towards Bad Aussee. Continue leisurely along the Kainischtraun to the Schützenhaus. There, turn right over the bridge and immediately left into Sießreithstraße.
At the soccer stadium, turn right again, through the center of Bad Aussee, and continue towards Grundlsee. After the cemetery, the bike and hiking trail follows the Grundlseer Traun, which leads directly to the starting point.
This mountain bike tour in the Ausseerland region is ideal for connoisseurs, e-bikers, and nature lovers who are looking for athletic enjoyment of nature by bike and scenic rest stops at rustic alpine pastures.
