Short distances on foot, longer distances by bus and train - in Ausseerland-Salzkammergut the car engine stays cold. Thanks to numerous bus lines and the railway stations in the main towns, the Ausseerland offers a well-developed public transport network that everyone can use as they please.

And drivers of electric cars are also very welcome in Ausseerland. The battery can be recharged at numerous charging stations and the environmentally conscious journey continues.

This is new:
- More journeys on the RegioBus lines 950, 955 & 956 to Altaussee, Grundlsee and between Bad Aussee and Stainach - including weekend services, extended routes & better connections
- Extended season until 2.11.2025 on the Losermaut to the Panoramabahn
- RegioBahn R170: At least 13 trains per day in each direction between Stainach-Irdning & Bad Aussee

Bus routes in Ausseerland

The RegioBus of Styria takes you on a tour of discovery in Ausseerland. Bus lines 950, 952, 955, 956 and 957 transport passengers at regular intervals between Altaussee and Tauplitz.
