The Way to Wildensee

Contemporary historical reading with Adelheid Picha and chamber actor Franz Robert Wagner.

The head of the Reich Security Main Office, Ernst Kaltenbrunner, spends the last days of the war in Altaussee. In his narrative "The Way to Ödensee," the writer Franz Kain from Goisern describes his escape to the Wildenseealm.

The American officer Robert Matteson describes the escape and capture in his own way in his report for the CIC. Ultimately, he was the one who arrested the war criminal along with four locals from Altaussee.

Adelheid Picha and chamber actor Franz Robert Wagner recount the story.
