The managed refuge is located directly on the Tauplitzalm on the hiking trail of the Six Lakes Hike.

The house can accommodate up to 70 people. There are single rooms, double rooms, triple rooms, four-bed rooms and six-bed rooms. All rooms are friendly and brightly furnished. Shower and WC are located outside. The Nature Friends House is ideal for groups or families. The ski slopes are easily accessible. In summer you can start countless hikes from the farm.

My name is Jakob Thier, and I have been the tenant of the Tauplitzhaus of the Naturefriends Linz since November 2024. My highest priority is to enable my customers to have beautiful days in the alpine hut. A great atmosphere, cozy ambiance, and the location right in the ski and hiking area of the Tauplitzalm provide the perfect foundation for this goal. I am a father of four children and have been happily married to my wife Sabine for over 20 years, who actively supports me in the business during her free time. We have given the house a partial makeover and tried to realize our vision of hut life.

  • Conditions

    The Tauplitzalm can be reached from Bad Mitterndorf via the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road. (subject to toll)

    In summer you can drive up to the accommodation. In winter, the car must be left at the large parking lot on the Tauplitzalm. You will be picked up from there and brought to the farm.

via the A2 Südautobahn, the S6 to St. Michael, continue on the A9 Phyrn-Autobahn, take the Liezen exit to the Trautenfels junction - turn off to Ausseerland

from direction Vienna, Linz

via the A1 Westautobahn, take the Regau exit as far as Gmunden, continue on the B145 as far as Bad Ischl, turn off into Ausseerland/Liezen

from Salzburg

via the Tauernautobahn A10, exit at Golling, continue on B162 in the direction of Lammertal, past Abtenau to Gosau, continue to Lake Hallstättersee on the B166, keep left in the direction of Bad Goisern, turn onto the B145 in the direction of Bad Aussee/Liezen
